Chelsea Flower Show Medal Winning Garden

Jamie was one of the designers behind the Ember Inns Old and New Pub Garden at Chelsea 2003 in the Chic Gardens section. The garden attracted press coverage in magazines as far afield as Scandinavia, Canada and Russia and won them an RHS Silver-Gilt medal.

A modern, contemporary garden in which to enjoy a relaxing drink. Benches are set around a central circle of bubble fountains is screened by metal cages filled with cobbles to create a feeling of intimacy. The planting is designed to create a contrast to the hard landscaping, softening the overall effect. We chose reclaimed bricks to create the paving and the back wall.

Jamie created the planting scheme with plants sourced from local perennial wholesalers Howard Nurseries.
