Wildlife Pond, Brundall

We were pleased to return to this garden in Brundall to build a wildlife pond area at the bottom of the garden. We made a fence out of chestnut pails to make the space child-friendly. A stream trickles down into an upper pool which flows under a yorkstone bridge into a lower pool. A gravel path crosses the pools and gravel paths surround the whole area. Plants will be allowed to self-seed into the gravel. Shallow, sloping sides to the ponds allow wildlife to leave and enter the water. Driftwood posts rise up out of the water in the lower pond for birds to perch on.
