Heidi’s Wildlife Garden, Newton Flotman

Heidi’s garden used to be more wildlife-friendly than Heidi-friendly. We rearranged the garden to make it more accessible for Heidi’s wheelchair whilst keeping all the wildlife-friendly ingredients.
We enlarged and moved the pond and added raised beds at a height that Heidi could access. We relocated the pergola to the corner to create an area to enjoy the evening sun and the view of the pond.
The existing paving was taken up and relaid over weed suppressant membrane and with strong pointing to minimise weed growth between the slabs.
